Dear John,
I suppose there must be some problem with your mail server.
Yesterday, I sent an email to explain in detail what were the problems, but apparently you did not receive my messages. It might be helpful if you send me an email address more reliable.
Here's the problem:
in my email of March 7 I specified that the minimum length della scultura deve essere 10 pollici sul lato lungo. Ricopio le istruzioni:
During transport, something must have happened to the wood (perhaps the change in temperature?) Because upon arrival, the length of the statue is 5 inches on the long side.
The strange thing is that the package is much bigger than the statue, which leads me to think there was some sort of shrinkage due to changes in temperature or humidity or a combination of these factors with the type of wood used .
Soon I'll have photos of the statue, so that you understand what I'm talking about.
do not know if sil Board will accept this, but I'll know by Monday (obviously do not work on weekends).
Let me know if you need some pictures and if you have any explanation for this phenomenon.
Sincerely,
Derek Trotter Director Trotters Fine Arts
course the sculpture arrived in perfect condition, but John does not know ;-)
