What sorprende e sconcerta in questo desolante panorama in cui alcuni ministri del culto cattolici hanno infangato la Chiesa attraverso atti di pedofilia, è il coinvolgimento di questa organizzazione, voluta direttamente da Gesù, in uno scandalo in cui, essa, non ha parte alcuna. Infatti, la Chiesa cattolica, secondo la sua stessa dottrina, è composta dal popolo e dal clero. Quindi, le righe che sto scrivendo, provengono da una persona che crede in quell'Uomo morto e risorto più di duemila anni fa. Sono stato battezzato, comunicato e cresimato, ricevendo l'effusione dello Spirito Santo, al quale credo fortemente, e, quindi, faccio parte a pieno titolo della Chiesa: sono io la Chiesa laddove sono chiamato a compiere il compito affidatomi dalla volontà di Dio.

È quindi fuori luogo identificare la Chiesa solo con la gerarchia ecclesiatica, tanto per intenderci, sacerdoti, vescovi e Papa. Sia io che tutti quelli che credono siamo il Popolo di Dio e agiamo in nome e per conto della Chiesa. La Chiesa cattolica, quindi, non è una organizzazione identificabile con un particolare Stato coma la Città del Vaticano, ma con l'insieme di quelli che la compongono, tesi a formare il corpo di Cristo sulla terra.
