Qualche giorno fa, precisamente lunedì 28 aprile, a Montecitorio e a Palazzo Madama, per l'inizio della XVI legislatura, si è insediato il nuovo parlamento. L'elemento di maggiore discontinuità rispetto al passato è l'assenza di un gruppo parlamentare collocato all'estrema sinistra dell'aula, per la prima volta nella storia dell'Italia repubblicana. La sinistra-sinistra è scomparsa e non può non esserci una ragione a tutto questo.
Innanzitutto la responsabilità va imputata all'incompetenza personale dei dirigenti partitici affiliati alla "Sinistra Arcobaleno" (Comunisti Italiani, Verdi, Rifondazione Comunista e Sinistra Democratica). Io non ho il diritto di giudicare nessuno, però se escludiamo Bertinotti , comunque non esente da colpe, resta davvero il vuoto più assoluto. Da Diliberto che voleva riportare in Italia la salma di Lenin a Pecoraro Scanio che sapeva solo dire "no" senza proporre soluzioni alternative, passando per Giordano che non aveva ancora capito che il muro di Berlino era crollato nel 1989, portandosi con se l'ideologia comunista.
Premesso ciò, proseguo con un'osservazione più sottile, diciamo più tecnica: la sinistra radicale italiana non ha ancora risolto la sua contraddizione interna, la sua ambiguità che non la porta a configurarsi né come partito di governo né come partito d'opposizione. Mi spiego meglio...
Nel momento in cui un partito decide di essere filo-governativo, mette da parte le sue idee più radicali, smussa gli angoli più spigolosi del proprio pensiero, si piega a inevitabili compromessi propri della classe dirigente di un paese democratico. Se, viceversa, vuole essere un'opposizione, allora più mantenere la propria ortodossia ideologica, scevra da ogni concreta responsabilità. Negli ultimi anni in cui la sinistra è stata in maggioranza (XIII legislatura '96-'01, XV legislatura '06-'08), l'ala più radicale della coalizione non ha mai risolto nettamente questa contraddizione.
Nel momento in cui degli esponenti di maggioranza, se non addirittura dei ministri, andavano in piazza per manifestare contro il governo di cui facevano parte, cioè contro loro stessi, è chiaro che dimostravano agli occhi del mondo di non contare nulla. Allora l'elettore che aveva dato loro fiducia pensava: "ma allora che ce stanno a fa?". Quest'esempio permette di capire come mai abbiano perso molti voti a causa dell'astensionismo di un'elettorato evidentemente deluso e spiega anche perché il partito di maggioranza relativa, il Partito Democratico, non abbia potuto allearsi con loro (pena la perdita di credibilità) e abbia conseguentemente portato loro via dei voti con la formula del "voto utile", cioè quel voto finalizzato alla competizione elettorale.
Al di là di queste considerazioni più o meno azzeccate, ciò che rimane è la scomparsa dal paese della sinistra più sinistra, con buona pace della memoria di Berlinguer , che valutando i suoi eredi si starà rivoltando nella tomba...
